Schedule Generator
Create beautiful PDF timetables for school, work, or personal use.
๐ Create Professional Schedules and Timetables
Effective time management starts with a clear visual overview of your commitments. Whether you're a student organizing classes, a teacher planning lessons, a professional managing meetings, or a parent coordinating family activities, a well-designed schedule helps you optimize your time and reduce stress. Our Schedule Generator creates beautiful, printable PDF timetables customized to your specific needs.
Unlike basic calendar apps that show one view at a time, a printed or displayed weekly schedule provides a constant visual reference. Research shows that physical schedulesโposted on walls, desks, or refrigeratorsโlead to better time awareness and adherence to planned activities compared to digital-only solutions.

๐ Choosing the Right Format
| Paper Size | Dimensions | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| A4 | 210 ร 297 mm (8.3 ร 11.7 in) | Standard printing worldwide, notebooks, folders |
| Letter | 8.5 ร 11 in (216 ร 279 mm) | US/Canada standard, office printing |
| A3 | 297 ร 420 mm (11.7 ร 16.5 in) | Wall posters, larger text, detailed schedules |
๐ก Pro Tip: For best readability, use landscape orientation when you have 6-7 days and portrait when you have many time slots. Keep activity descriptions short (3-5 words) so text fits cleanly in cells. Consider color-coding by category using highlighters after printingโor create multiple schedules with different header colors for different purposes!
๐จ๏ธ Printing Tips
- Check Print Preview: Always preview before printing to ensure correct orientation and scaling
- Use "Fit to Page": Most print dialogs have this option to prevent content being cut off
- Heavier Paper: For schedules that will be handled frequently, use cardstock or thicker paper
- Lamination: Laminate printed schedules for durability and to allow dry-erase marking
- Multiple Copies: Print extras for different locations (desk, wall, bag, shared spaces)
โ Frequently Asked Questions
Currently, schedules are not saved between browser sessions. All data is processed locally in your browser for privacy and doesn't get stored on any server. We recommend downloading your PDF once you're satisfied with it. For future edits, you'll need to recreate the scheduleโbut this is typically quick since you can use our time slot templates as a starting point. We're considering adding a "save to browser" feature in future updates that would store your configuration locally.
We support three common paper sizes: A4 (210 ร 297 mm, standard internationally), US Letter (8.5 ร 11 inches, standard in North America), and A3 (297 ร 420 mm, double A4 size for wall posters). Each can be printed in landscape (wide) or portrait (tall) orientation. A4 landscape works well for most weekly schedules. A3 is excellent for classroom wall displays or when you need larger, more readable text. Letter size is ideal if you're printing on standard US office paper.
Technically, you can add as many time slots as you want. However, for practical printing and readability, we recommend keeping it under 12-15 time slots per day. More than that and the text in cells becomes too small to read comfortably, especially on A4/Letter paper. If you need more slots, consider using A3 paper or splitting your schedule into morning and afternoon versions. The live preview helps you judge whether your schedule will be readable at print size.
Yes! Each cell is a text input where you can type multiple lines or items. However, space is limited, so keep text concise. Common approaches: use abbreviations (Math, Eng, Sci), separate items with commas (Meeting, Lunch, Call), or use the first line for the main activity and add notes below. If you frequently have multiple items per slot, consider creating more granular time slots (30-minute intervals instead of hour) or using A3 paper for larger cells.
Use the "Header Color" picker in the Schedule Settings section. Click the color swatch to open your browser's color picker, where you can choose any color. This color applies to the header row (day names and time column header) in your schedule. The hex code displays next to the picker so you can note exact colors for consistency. For more complex color schemes (different colors per day or time slot), consider post-processing the PDF in design software or using highlighters after printing.
The web preview and PDF output use different rendering engines, so minor variations are normal. Font rendering, exact cell proportions, and text wrapping may differ slightly. The preview is meant to show approximate layout and content placement. If text appears cut off in the PDF, try shortening your entries. We optimize PDF generation for clean printingโthe final output should look professional when printed, even if the screen preview has slight differences.
